Well you see there are so many faculty members a person can chose from its not even funny. The best thing to do is pick acouple faculty members that are your teachers and easy to get along and talk to. The last thing is to make sure to pick a faculty member that can really help you with the ocupation you are seeking.
Now for me I only have to faculty member that I prefer. One is Dr. Hoffman he is my advisor and he is a really nice man and is helping me alot with my schedule and future goals of being a veterinarian.The second one is my english teacher Mrs. Mary Liebich I talk to her all the time after class and I like to think that she is really getting to know me pretty well.
They both have helped me so much through my freshmen year at ISU. Its kinda scary acutally Im not even through the first half of the year yet and i have gotten so much help from I both of them. I cant even imagine how much more they can help me in the years to come.
So all in all make sure you have some type of faculty member that is gonna be there and always willing to help you out. But for me I feel really blessed to have found the two faculty members that I did and I hope to find more that will be willing to help me out with my future goals. Then when it comes time for letters of recommadtions I know who ill go to.

ReplyDeleteGetting to know your professors on a personal level is a good thing. You can use them as references for scholarships and all kinds of other things.
ReplyDeleteIt's really great you have already developed a bond with one of your instructors and she is getting to know you. Just her knowing you will allow her to be capable of writing a great reference letter for you if ever needed.
